Abstract
[fr] This study aims to project a set of relevant indicators to assess the feasibility of a
microgrid, considering various socio-economic futures, with the goal of ensuring a decent
standard of living for an isolated rural community in the Andean valleys of Bolivia by
2045.
To this end, the research addresses several key components: projections of future
local climatic conditions; the development of an electricity demand profile; an assessment
of the region’s renewable energy source potential; and the selection of appropriate tech-
nical and economic parameters informed by contrasting socio-economic scenarios. These
components are integrated into a comprehensive microgrid modeling and optimization
framework, enabling a rigorous evaluation of the feasibility of sustainable rural electrifi-
cation strategies across diverse future contexts.
