Abstract
[en] Mergers and acquisitions-well conceived and properly executed-can deliver
greater value than ever right now. (Rouse & Frame, 2009)
This quote sum up the challenge that companies who want to growth rapidly
have to face. Indeed, managing a Mergers and acquisition integration is a
real challenge and only a few manage to reach their targets.
In this thesis, the focus is on the post-acquisition process, commonly called
integration process. CMI has performed many acquisitions through the last
decade and it will not stop there. The number of acquisition increases each
year.
In the first part of the thesis a presentation of the state of the art is done and
put in relation with the good practices to perform during an integration process.
Next to that, an analysis of the new CMI methodology will be realized.
Afterwards, a deep dive on the experiences gained from previous integration
of CMI is performed.
Finally, based on these previous section an analysis of the new methodology
is made and a couple of recommendations is formulated to allow CMI to
enhance its processes.
