Travail de fin d'études: Effets des investissements publics sur la croissance économique en RDC :Approche historique et Empirique

Abstract

Cette étude porte sur l’analyse des effets des investissements publics sur la croissance économique en République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) sur la période allant de 1960 à 2025. En s’appuyant sur la méthode des moments généralisés (GMM), elle examine les relations entre les investissements publics et la croissance économique. En effet, l’État, à travers des investissements publics efficaces, crée un environnement favorable au développement économique, ce qui renvoie au concept de management public. Cet environnement favorable facilite l’action du management privé dans la réalisation de ses objectifs, notamment grâce à l’amélioration des infrastructures, du capital humain et du climat des affaires. Les résultats obtenus révèlent que les investissements publics exercent un effet globalement positif sur la croissance économique. Toutefois, cet impact demeure limité par plusieurs contraintes structurelles, notamment la faiblesse de la gouvernance, les insuffisances institutionnelles ainsi que les inefficacités dans l’allocation et la gestion des ressources publiques. L’étude souligne ainsi la nécessité de renforcer la qualité des institutions et l’efficacité du management public afin d’améliorer la contribution des investissements publics au développement économique de la RDC.

This study focuses on analyzing the effects of public investment on economic growth in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) over the period from 1960 to 2025. Using the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM), it examines the relationship between public investment and economic growth. Indeed, through efficient public investment, the State creates a favorable environment for economic development, which refers to the concept of public management. This favorable environment facilitates the actions of private management in achieving its objectives, particularly through the improvement of infrastructure, human capital, and the business climate. The results obtained reveal that public investment has an overall positive effect on economic growth. However, this impact remains limited by several structural constraints, including weak governance, institutional deficiencies, and inefficiencies in the allocation and management of public resources. The study therefore highlights the need to strengthen institutional quality and the effectiveness of public management in order to improve the contribution of public investment to the economic development of the DRC.
