Abstract
[fr] These last decades the world most popular sport’s economy has increased thanks to various evolutions. Attracting more and more spectators and particularly viewers, the incomes of football clubs have increased through sponsoring, merchandising or especially TV rights. This development has consequences: salaries and amounts of player transferts have known similar tendency. Some of the clubs have changed the way they do business by betting on players trading. But how can we estimate the value of a football player? His talent is an important criteria but is it the only one? Does he have a capacity to change his employer business?
We have attempted to draw some answers by interviewing some fans. From quantitative interviews we can say that for some people one single player can highlight a football club. He can as well make lose some fans when he leaves a club. A great player can be the reason to buy tickets, even more expensive than usual, or shirts. Players have significant impact on clubs turnover.
