Abstract
[en] This thesis presents my personal translation of three selected chapters of The English: A Field Guide by Matt Rudd, a book poking fun at English mundane life. This thesis then presents the difficulties (linguistic and extra-linguistic) and tackles the subject of humour in general and that of British humour.
